Jay R. Brick writes: "Ignatz" proved too much for immigration officer at U.S. entry and was dubbed "J.J.". Hence grandsons "Joseph Julian" and "Jerome Julian". Educated as a soap chemist, brought from Vienna to the US by N.K.Fairbanks Co. of Chicago who subsequently employed him. Invented soap product "Gold Dust Twins". Product was successful, so they fired him.
